Nature Word Search

The nature list is a walk outdoors. Landscapes like CANYON, GLACIER, PRAIRIE and VOLCANO sit next to the small things you'd find along the path: an ACORN, a PEBBLE, a PETAL, a patch of MOSS. Trees get a whole row of their own, with OAK, BIRCH, MAPLE, CEDAR, ASPEN, ELM and WILLOW.

Flower names bring the double letters that make a word jump out, like the LL in HOLLY, the PP in POPPY and the SS in BLOSSOM and GRASS. The rare letters are few here, so those doubles are often the quickest way in. The V in VALLEY, VINE, VOLCANO and LAVENDER helps too.

Words within words are everywhere in nature. FLOWER is part of SUNFLOWER and FOREST of RAINFOREST, and a board only ever deals one of each such pair, since the short one would otherwise be found twice. Two words can still cross, sharing a letter where they meet; a single cell can belong to both.

RAINFOREST and WATERFALL are the longest words in the list and need Medium or Hard. On Easy, every word runs left to right or top to bottom, which makes it a calm first game.
