Music Word Search

About half of this list is instruments, from the familiar PIANO, GUITAR and DRUM to the GLOCKENSPIEL and the HARPSICHORD. The other half is everything around them: the CONDUCTOR and the ORCHESTRA, a CHORUS with its SOPRANO and TENOR voices, and styles from JAZZ and BLUES to REGGAE and FOLK.

Instrument names have some of the most distinctive letter runs of any theme. The double Z of JAZZ and KAZOO, the X and Y at the start of XYLOPHONE, the long vowel chain in UKULELE: each one is easy to pick out once you know to look for it, and worth hunting before the plainer words.

Several instruments share letters in a way that trips people up. VIOLA and VIOLIN share their first four letters, so both can be in one grid and both start V, I, O, L. Follow each one to its end to be sure which you have. HARP and HARPSICHORD are another pair, and since one hides inside the other, the grid will only ever deal one of them.

GLOCKENSPIEL is twelve letters, the longest here, and like HARPSICHORD it fits only on Hard. On Easy, words stay at eight letters or fewer and run across or down.
