How to Play
Hard fills an 8 by 8 grid with sixty-four face-down cards: thirty-two pairs, and every one of the game's shapes in play at once, from the crown and the bell to the stairs and the waves. The grid always fits on your screen, so you can see every position at once.
Turn over two cards per move. Matching pairs stay revealed; mismatches show for a moment before flipping back. With this many cards, a single game becomes a test of patience and organization as much as memory: expect a few long stretches of discovery before the matches start coming quickly.
Rules
- Each move is two flips, and the number of moves is your score.
- Pairs you find stay face up. A mismatched pair turns face down after a short look.
- Cards are shuffled for every game, so no layout repeats.
- The minimum is 32 moves, one per pair. Fewer is better; ties go to whoever finished faster.

Split the board into quarters
Think of the grid as four 4 by 4 blocks and explore one block at a time. A small area is easier to remember than sixty-four loose positions.
Accept the early misses
The first dozen or so moves are mostly discovery. Don't chase a half-remembered partner too soon; each new card you reveal pays off later.
Group look-alikes
Some shapes share a family: the circle, the ring, and the target, or the triangle and the pentagon. Remembering which family sits where helps you tell them apart at a glance.
Rest your eyes between matches
After a run of matches, take a second to rescan what's left. Fewer cards remain, and the leftover positions are easier to fix in memory.
FAQ
Why do the cards look smaller than on Easy?
Sixty-four cards have to fit on one screen without scrolling, so each one is smaller. On a phone they're still large enough to tap comfortably.
What's a good score on Hard?
A player with perfect recall averages about 51 moves on this board, so the 60s are an excellent game and the 70s a solid one. Don't be surprised if your first attempts run well past that.
Can shapes be told apart without color?
Yes. Every one of the 32 shapes has its own outline, so color is only an extra hint and the game plays the same for everyone.
