How to Play
Each tube holds four layers of colored water. Tap a tube to pick it up, then tap the tube you want to pour into. The top color flows across, and every layer of that color on top goes with it, as much as the other tube has room for. Keep pouring until every tube holds a single color or nothing at all.
Easy has five colors in seven tubes, Medium eight colors in ten, and Hard eleven in thirteen; every level starts with two empty tubes. If you get stuck, undo your pours, start the same puzzle again, or add one extra empty tube.
Rules
- You can only pour onto the same color, or into an empty tube.
- A pour moves all the matching layers on top that fit; whatever doesn't fit stays where it was.
- A full tube can't take any more water.
- The puzzle is solved when every tube is either empty or full of one color.
- Once per game you can add an extra empty tube. In the Daily Challenge it adds five to your pour count.
- Undo is free and unlimited, so only the pours you keep are counted.
Tips & Strategy
Keep an empty tube free
An empty tube is your most useful tool. Fill it only when the pour finishes a color or frees a buried layer you need.
Finish colors one at a time
Once a tube has a single color at the bottom, try to build that color up in it before starting another.
Look under the top layer
Before pouring, check what each pour will uncover. The best pour is often the one that reveals a color you can pour next.
FAQ
Can every puzzle be solved?
Yes. Every puzzle is checked by our solver before you see it, and only shuffles it can sort without the extra tube are dealt. You can still pour yourself into a corner, but undo always gets you back.
What does the extra tube do?
It adds one empty tube to the puzzle, once per game, which can turn a stuck position into an easy one. In New Game it's free; in the Daily Challenge it adds five pours to your score.
I find some colors hard to tell apart. Can I still play?
Yes. Turn on Color symbols under the puzzle and every color gets its own white shape, like a star, a heart or a square, so you can sort by shape alone.
How does the Daily Challenge work?
Everyone gets the same Medium puzzle for the day. Your first finished sort counts, ranked by the fewest pours, with ties going to the faster time. Our server replays your pours to check the count.
Is there a time limit?
No. The clock only matters for breaking ties in the Daily Challenge, so take as long as you like to plan.
