How to Play
Sixteen cards lie face down in a 4 by 4 grid. Hidden underneath are eight pairs of shapes: a circle, a star, a heart, and so on, each in its own color. Tap or click any card to turn it over, then pick a second card.
If both cards show the same shape, they stay face up for the rest of the game. If they do not match, you get a short look at both before they flip back over. Remember what you saw, then try again until every pair is found.
Rules
- The cards are shuffled into a new layout every game.
- Each move is exactly two flips. Your score is the number of moves you needed.
- Unmatched cards turn face down again after a brief moment, so watch closely.
- The game ends as soon as the last pair is found.
- Lower is better. A perfect game takes eight moves, one per pair.
Tips & Strategy
Open unknown cards first
Early on, flip cards you have never seen instead of guessing. Every new card you reveal is information you can use later, even if this move is not a match.
Use the second flip well
If your first card is one you have already seen the partner of, go straight to it. If it is new, use the second flip on another unseen card rather than a known one.
Say it in your head
Naming the cards quietly, like "star, top left", makes positions easier to hold on to than trying to remember a picture.

Is the layout the same every time?
No. The cards are shuffled for every game, so you cannot memorize a pattern between rounds.
Does time affect my score?
Only moves count toward your score. There is no clock pressure, so take a second to think before each flip.
What is a good score?
Eight moves needs luck as well as memory. Finishing in the low to mid teens is a solid game, and anything under twelve is excellent.
Are there bigger boards?
Yes. Medium is a 6 by 6 grid with 18 pairs and Hard an 8 by 8 grid with 32, each with its own leaderboard. Switch between them with the level buttons above the game.
