How to Play

This is Spider with every card a spade. The 104 cards are dealt into ten columns, four of six cards and six of five, with only the top card showing. The remaining 50 sit in the stock for five deals of one card per column.

Since every card shares a suit, any stack in descending order is a run you can move in one go: a 7-6-5 slides onto any 8. Tap a card to send it and the cards above it to the best column, or drag it yourself. Once no useful move is left, tap the stock.

Rules

  • A card can go onto a card one rank higher, or into an empty column.
  • A stack moves together as long as it descends by one with no gaps.
  • You can't deal from the stock while any column is empty.
  • Finished King-to-Ace runs are cleared automatically; eight of them win the game.
  • Scoring starts at 500, costs 1 per move or deal, and pays 100 per cleared run. Undo refunds the move.

Tips & Strategy

Order matters more than suit

With one suit you never have to split a run, so aim to keep every column in a single long descending line. Each break is a card you'll have to dig out later.

Empty a short column early

The five-card columns are the quickest to clear. One empty column makes nearly every rearrangement possible.

Put Kings where they stay

A King can only move to an empty column, so place one there only when it starts a run you mean to finish.

Play the deal cards straight away

After each deal, look first at the ten new cards: many drop straight onto a neighbor and rebuild runs in a few taps.

FAQ

Is 1 suit easier than 2 or 4?

Much easier: every stack in order can move, so few deals get stuck. It's the best place to learn how deals and empty columns work.

Does it have its own leaderboard?

Its Daily Challenge does: each Spider variant has its own daily deal and daily, weekly, and all-time boards. New Game deals, also drawn from solver-won layouts, count only toward your own record.

What does a perfect score look like?

A win scores 1300 minus your moves, so every saved move is a point. Undo is free, since the move it takes back no longer counts.
