How to Play
Three pieces wait in the tray under an 8 by 8 board. Drag one onto the board: a faint outline shows where it will land, and any row or column it would complete lights up before you let go. Once all three are placed, three new ones arrive.
Every full row and column clears at once. Empty the whole board with one placement for a board clear, the game's biggest prize. It ends when none of your pieces fits anywhere, so keep room for shapes you haven't seen yet. On a phone the piece rides above your finger.
Rules
- Pieces run from a single block to a 3x3 square and can't be turned. A piece that fits nowhere is shown faded.
- Each block placed scores 1 point. Lines score 10 times their number squared: 10 for one, 40 for two at once, 90 for three. A board clear adds 300.
- A streak is a run of clearing placements with no more than two placements between them that clear nothing. Every clear in a streak after the first adds 10 points per step: the second clear +10, the third +20, and so on.
- There is no undo. Pieces are dealt with the board in mind: often one can finish a line, one of three always fits, and when few blocks remain the tray often holds a way to clear them all. The help eases off as your score climbs.
Tips & Strategy
Guard a 3x3 space
The largest pieces need a three-by-three space or a clear five-block line. Keep one open. Big pieces only arrive when they fit, but not always where you'd like.
Build toward double clears
Two lines finished by one piece score 40, more than two single clears even with the streak bonus. A crossing row and column count too.
Look for the board clear
With only a few blocks left, check whether the three new pieces could finish every line those blocks sit in. Often they can, in the right order.
FAQ
When does the game end?
When none of the pieces left in your tray fits anywhere. Faded pieces show it coming.
How are leaderboard scores checked?
Our server picks and signs each game's random seed, then deals the same pieces again, replays your placements, and scores them itself. Each game counts once.
Do I need to sign in?
No. Your best game waits in this browser and is sent if you sign in within a day. A game started offline counts only for your own stats.
What is a board clear?
A placement whose lines take every remaining block with them. It scores 300 on top of the lines, and your stats count them with your games, best, and average.
